Making a server is extremely hard if you're trying to put something new on the table. Everybody acts like making servers are soooo easy because what they do, is do the exact same loving thing. Which is precisely why Blockland is in a "bad state." Not to mention the large demand for good builds as building is one of the most difficult areas of Blockland, and nobody releases their stuff / gets it done within a year for some reason.

I agree with you if you're saying that bullstuff servers get to the top of the list while good ones are at the bottom and rarely come to the top.
If this is so, it's more of a community issue.

the bar is just p low i think. i think if there's one thing that can be agreed upon, it's that people are starving for new approaches or new ideas entirely

No, where did you get that idea? Look at the player list, look at the player counts. People are stupid and want more and more of the same. Change frightens them, and this is a large part of the problem.

p much any server i've seen that offers something unique has attracted an audience in my experience, so long as the word is put out there. obviously people can't enjoy what they don't know about, but i've never in my time here observed that someone doesn't like a server because it's too unlike anything they know (unless the problem is that it's overwhelming them with information, like with mafia madness or similar cases)

last one that was online was p good, but the map was huge and you had to fly all the way to the enemy base for it to ghost, i only got to do that once.

I wish people join rising lava servers more often. At least 7/10 of the time I join them, no one else is there.
