Author Topic: phone taken away [phone stories]  (Read 2766 times)

Schools should have the right to take your phone for the day, but not a week. Especially when it comes to high school, a lot of people have jobs and need their phone for it.

usually when i see people using their phones, it's mostly the younger people.

"those damn younger people and their phones"

But that's defiance and could land you in more trouble than just having your phone taken away.
forget them then
It's not theirs to take

Probably because thats who you're around? I'm around people 17+ (a majority 18+)

well okay, if you're enough a bad enough dude to take down the entire administration of the school and save your phone.
what
he can't speak!

i finally have it back
you shouldn't have your phone in during class
I put my phone on vibrate so I dont forget with Siri on accident
even if it is on silent or do not disturb, siri still activates

When I was in Hawaii a few months ago, I walked through a river with my phone in my pocket and completely forgeted up the headphone functionality, as well as the speakers.

I sold it to a guy at my dad's workplace for a cool $100 dollars, damage and all.

But I've never been dumb enough to have my phone taken away.

It's rude to make a 1 second noise. It's a distraction to the class, and if teachers allowed people to get away with it nobody would be paying attention since everybody would be listening to music or talking loudly.

Don't use the phone in the first loving place. That's what breaks are for.

i've only had my phone taken once. i was gone for a day because of a training i went to for a class and they changed the cellphone policy that day, so i wasn't there to hear that you weren't allowed to have your phone out anywhere. so i came back the next day and pulled my phone out while waiting in line at breakfast and the dean took it.

yeah. the old policy was we could have our phone out anywhere except the library (when the librarian wasn't busy, at least) or class (unless the teacher gave us permission). the new policy makes it against the rules to use your phones anywhere except the gym during school hours. you can't even use your phone outside. and there aren't any warnings anymore. the first time it gets taken, your parent has to get it. second time, after school detention; third, saturday detention; fourth, suspension, etc. they're really brown town about it.

my school said forget it and only cares if you use a phone in class. makes sense, and everyone is grateful for it.
