I'd prefer if the background of the banner were a bit more dynamic. IE the banner stretches all the way across like in Leet's example, with an avatar on the right which moves to stay on the right as you resize the page.

This is what I had in mind, and it's easy to do, except having two separate images wouldn't be feasible if at all possible. Basically, you'd just have a really wide image, then right align it so the blockhead always appears on the right. Here's what the old banner image looked like to give an idea of what I'm talking about. I just took it from the Blockland home page and expanded it to the left to fill the space, then put the BLF logo over everything.

Also, while I'm here, I made a small edit to my personal copy of the theme so that the buttons appear on the right and the header info on the left. It felt weird at first, but was easy to get used to, and it fixes the weird alignment issue the first line of the header has now.

Would you guys object to this change?

i finally bit the bullet and started using chrome again

i like it, if not for the fact that the top bars and the posts aren't the same width

also, the topic summary looks a bit awkward.

Yeah, that's not an easy thing to style, though. Still, I'll see what I can do.

my current theme for it
uses BLF - White Out, BLF - Modernized, and BLLight 3

any way to make it so when you click the logo it leads home? im not used to the home button

That doesn't look too bad.

No, not without a userscript, anyway.

you should probably take a look at the metro theme, that uses custom buttons that work on firefox
although they're not too elaborate, so i don't know if they're actual fancy custom buttons or just coloured boxes with text

also, maybe you should try making the buttons a bit more material design-y

vs

edit: also, perhaps join these up in a connected edges fashion to make it less confusing to navigate the index

the 'title' part could be the section title.

perhaps do the "seam" connection between posts too. iunno, it might just be me, but it really hurts seeing these many separated cards

bump because i found a bug
[hr] doesn't work properly:

you can't see the line.

The method the Metro theme uses only works with images, not regular CSS. To address the disconnections, it didn't really bother me that much, and I liked the way it looked, but if there's a better solution, I'll look into it. I'll take your other suggestions into consideration.

I can? On both themes.

Sure it's barely visible, but that's the point. Are you asking for it to be more visible? Also, what browser would you happen to be using?

Also, I'll note that I won't pretend that I haven't slowed down work on this. However, you can't expect me to devote all of my time to a theme for this forum, for free, no less. I'll get to it when I have less higher priorities in the way. I know nobody complained about this or anything, but I wanted to address this before anyone pointed it out.

I do quite like the material look

The top one is barely visible, that's probably the one he's using.

He said he "couldn't see the line" and in my mind that means it's actually invisible, not that it should just be darkened. In any regard, I'll note to make the line darker.

Not all monitors are the same though. Could be that, like my laptop, the lighter colors blend closely and that line probably wouldn't be visible on it.
