He fainted because he was low on blood sugar, I'm no medical expert (I'm better at physics) but that is pretty basic to know.  They gave him orange soda because it has sugar which brought his blood sugar up Which created protein for the blood cells which gave you energy.  What dragon is saying is that he fainted because he saw blood, but that's not the case, he fainted because of the amount of blood and his low blood sugar.
I never saw the blood. I looked the other way the whole time. So yes, you're probably right. After I began feeling bad I got kind of freaked out and I think that made it worse

So yeah, I just left the doctor's office about half an hour ago. I went in to have to have a routine physical and everything was normal. I have lost 10 pounds since my last physical

Ah, ok. I was wrong in my theory.

I've never actually passed out but I've gotten pretty close a few times. it's pretty trippy when you get to the point where your vision starts to go black and you get all tingly

when I was 5 I fell off a fence and had a gash on my head, it healed though

when I was 7 I bit my tongue on the trampoline once and had to go to hospital, it wasn't stitched though

when I was 9 I ate too many salty peanuts and threw them up, it lasted for a month in total and at one point it was so bad I got dehydrated from not keeping fluids down and I had to go to hospital to get fluids pumped into me

the feeling of being near to fainting but it not quite happening is so awful imo. it's happened to me three times, all while i had to stand at parade rest or attention any longer than 10 minutes. i bend my knees and everything but it still happens.

but it's like, i start to feel really clammy and my chest starts hurting, which is followed by awful dizziness and my vision starting get get fuzzy. shifting around, wriggling my toes, and taking deep breaths doesn't help me at all. i'm just like "wel hopefully this doesn't last too much longer" and tough it out the best i can. my uniform pants are p tight so i'm thinking it might be from that but i dunno.

i can recover pretty quickly from it, though. when it happened during a practice inspection, they sat me down and got me some water and i was on my feet again in about a minute.

I can't imagine a stitched tongue

Danger? I think I was just freaked out about the blood test and the fact that they took a large amount of blood out of me that fast probably had something to do with it.
I passed out right when they told me it'd be half a liter (this was after they tested blood iron content (which was good) and pressure of 80/120). Vomited everywhere when I woke up. Turns out I'm not suited as a blood donor :(

Dang, I guess I'd be a lousy donor too. My dad is an MRI tech so he does IVs on people all the time. The stories he tells about people being terrified of needles can be pretty insane

its happened to my big brother before, he got it stitched

As far as I'm aware bending your knees isn't supposed to prevent fainting. It's just there because if you do faint with bent knees you'll collapse downwards with your knees bending and you'll just crumple relatively softly. But if you have your legs locked and you faint your knees won't give way and you'll fall flat like a pole. Falling like this means the top of you falls faster and harder, so either you'll smash your face onto the ground or the back of your head.
Bending your knees just prevents more serious injuries should you faint.
