Even Infantry were relevant in the space battles of battlefront 2 because you were given some shuttles and a marine class.

Alright forget this. Space battles were half the game and the whole point of a battlefront 3 would be to combine space and land battles.
on one hand that sucks that theres no space battles
on the other, bf3 and bf4's plane-to-plane combat was so sluggish and terrible that any space battles would have probably been pretty crap anyway

and yet there are still people who think it'll be good
That is literally half the campaign in battlefront 2 gone

Actually 3/4 because prequel era will not be out upon release

Wtf is the point of spaceships if you don't fly them in space?!

I will say however that space battles seemed to drag on and be boring

Space battles in the prequel era, not space battles as a whole. No CIS vs Republic space battles.

The game is supposed to be focused on the older films iirc.

Anyway, I would have rather seen gameplay footage instead of that super cool animation they made.

Nor Rebel vs Imperial.

I don't know how much clearer it could have been.

Yeah it really seems like they're really trying to push this game out, not surprising at all. TBH I'm jumping off the hype train, as I've been playing Battlefront from the beginning as a wee lad.

who cares if there's no space battles
this looks incredible

Sorry I only read the headline.

Spacebattles sucked anyway. You could barely see the dark vehicles in space and I don't blame them for not wanting to attempt it.

They announced the game like 2 years ago and are working on it longer than Battlefield3. They're really trying to get it right more like.

No prequel era? Good. I hated being locked out of maps because it was only clones vs droids and not rebels vs stormtroopers.

Sad there isn't battles only in space but I am glad they are moving it to atmosphere combat. I always wanted to be able to fly in a X-Wing and provide ground support.

if this is true (and i hope its not) then why the forget even bother with the AT-ATs

The good news is that Mirror's Edge 2 is probably in good hands.

...right?!

now i kind of have this sinking feeling that battlfront 3 is going to feel a lot like BF4

How could they make the at-at worse?

Well, it's why Criterion can't make a single good Need for Speed game. They're using tools and designs that come from their own games (Battlefield and Burnout), and they can't understand why the fans found the original games fun, instead just putting in their own gameplay because they think fans just want the game to carry the same name, and that's it.

Total bullstuff, and EA should have never gotten the Star Wars license. We won't ever get a new KotOR, Battlefront is going to suck and good luck if you want Star Wars space battles.

I had faith but I guess I can formally go to EA now and shoot whoever's in charge.
Wish me luck guys, lets just hope that episode 7 doesn't suck ass.
