at least you admit it
what's a sarcasm? i heard my 2nd grade english teacher say it once. what does it mean.

This is just like every other change on the internet.
Kicking and crying isn't going to change Valve's mind. Because in a week nearly everyone will get over it and this will start to become normal.

"I have no more valid points to make so I am just going to make snooty smartass comments amusing nobody."

And it would still be the worst loving thing ever.

people are going to continue to hate it because what other methods "aside from nexus" do you know of that allow you to install mods and play the games the way you want to be able to play them?

do you remember the garry's mod addon page? do you want another one of those?
no, didn't think so.

Do you actually think people are just going to "get over it"?

I'm interested in this topic and I have strong opinions on it so of course I am going to respond to someone making weird claims?

to be completely honest, i think that greenlight was a pretty bad idea.

i mean, sure, it has brung some pretty damn good games (SE, Hotline (IF I RECALL)), but in the end steam greenlight has added so many stuffty games. mostly its just been people who are like "lel xd ima make a simulator thats huge cash grab!!!"

but like what obliviongate said,
this is stupid, there should just be a button to donate to the creator, not mandatory

Can you not?

hey you're doing that thing again

Imagine that for four years you have been writing fanfictions based off of the harry potter novels.
Imagine, now, that you suddenly decide you will start charging money for said fanfiction.
Let's now imagine that, to read fanfictions, you need a copy of the harry potter novel, as well as other fanfictions that act as framework.

This is why charging for mods is stupid. Mod makers arguing "I need to pay the bills" are loving stupid, so are all the people going "well I should be payed for my work." If you want to be payed, make your own stuff, not mods.

Content creators only get 25% of the sale.

this is also pretty stupid. there's like, no incentive for mod makers to create stuff. like yeah you might be able to sell some stuff for $1, but you'd get no money. and if you sold it for $20 for a measly 5 bucks, well good loving luck getting anyone to buy it, i could buy an entire video game for that.

so basically you just get the stuffty idea of paid mods and yet nobody is going to loving use it, so it's a lose-lose
