Author Topic: Recommend me a printer to buy thats not HP.  (Read 769 times)

My HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier All-in-One Printer (A909n) was brought to its knees by a paper jam. Was printing a paper when it came out and stopped halfway before the message "Ink Drying" popped up, and the printer tried to suck it back in and caused a jam.

Someone recommend me a Non-HP printer(HP Printers are stuff) in case the 8500 gets broken beyond all repair.

Whatever you do don't buy a lexmark unless you want super expensive ink thats very hard to find.

I use a brand called Brother, and its pretty nice, hasn't failed me yet.

Does it have that "Expiring ink cartridges" BS that HP Printers have?

i have a refurbished canon printer that works good pixma mp620

Laser printers rock! Very expensive when you want full color but powder is very cheap. (I tought it was called tonor or something)

A printer that isn't HP. You should get it. It's really fast.

HP makes their printers stuff on purpose for some reason that i cant recall anymore
but its slimey business related

hp and p much any printer business can eat a butt with their ridiculous ink cartridge conspiracies and printer hooha

i have an HP printer that needs like SEVEN DIFFERENT INK TYPES and ofc they're all proprietary and ridiculously expensive like wtf

God damn it I knew someone was going to beat me to it.

OT: Any Brother Laser Printer usually doesn't have that many problems compared to anything Hewlett Packard.

I bought this since I'm going to college soon back in December 2014 and it hasn't given me problems yet.

I actually have a new HP printer because our old HP one broke. GG, HP.
I would recommend any Epson printer. They have cool features like photo thumbnailing, and the ink is cheap.

We have an epson printer
its p good
