Author Topic: The Battletoads are in Shovel Knight for Xbox One [spoilers?]  (Read 799 times)

This is amazing.

RARE, I thank you for making a great decision.

(this was game relevant so thought I'd post it here)

Rare didn't really have anything to do with it though? Yacht Club just wanted a company representative who wasn't the Master Chief, and Microsoft happens to have the rights to Battletoads, so they went for it.

They don't have any special boss fights for the nintendo versions though...

3DS version's got the StreetPass arena, which is basically boss fights.

kratos is in the ps4 version (and possibly also xbox one version? idk)

nope, only the Sony versions have him, which are the PS3 & Vita versions too

fuuuck i want this on pc
it would sort of make sense for this to be in the PC version since Microsoft, you know, owns Windows, but oh well

wii u/3ds version should have link or ganondorf or something

The company that created the system which shovel night is based upon is also the one without any special boss fights.
Seriously, there are tons of Nintendo characters that were on the nes they could choose.

All platforms (except PC) got exclusive features

3DS: StreetPass Arena
WiiU: Digger's Diary
Playstation: Kratos battle
Xbox: Battletoads battle

Some may be more interesting to some people than others, but, well, that's kind of the point

The StreetPass thing and the Digger's Diary can't be compared to exclusive content, though.

Maybe PC should have a DOS days representative. But who specifically? Maybe Commander Keen?

It's still exclusive content no matter what kind of content it is

I'm sure some people preferred that to the exclusive boss battles
