If you've ever played the popular flash game "Fishy" or one of the many games like it, you know how this works. The twist in this cell-based version, however, is that you're playing online with a bunch of other real people. Eat and don't get eaten. If it's smaller than you, consume it to grow. If it's bigger than you, stay away or you're done for. As your size goes up, your speed goes down, meaning you can generally outrun anyone larger than you (latency and split-boosting aside). Just choose a name (or don't), move around with your mouse, and make your way to the top of the scoreboard.
Tips:
-
You can choose a skin by selecting a certain nickname.- Press space to split in half and launch yourself forward, giving you a burst of speed to escape predators (often at the cost of one of your segments) or quickly gain the edge on a smaller victim.
- Use the green virus cells to your advantage. Use them as cover to hide in when you're small, and shoot them with W to launch them at bigger cells to severely break them up.
- If you get split, it'll take a minute or two to reform. Stay still to speed up the process.
- Make sure you check the settings before starting to enable things like night mode, size display, and more.
- Watch out for the invisible edges of the map.
