So, yesterday, your pal Holly finished her last college tour. I've seen about 8 schools that are schools I'd most likely be able to get in to, and a couple of stretch schools. My top 3 non-stretch schools are Bentley University, Sacred Heart University, and Gettysburg College, and my stretch schools are MIT and Yale, and UCONN is just my "safe" choice. Of the schools I saw, I liked Sacred Heart the best, the campus was clean, professors I met were all really nice, and I really liked the overall feel of the school. It's also within 3 hours of my home, so traveling home for breaks and such won't be too bad. I'm currently in the process of writing my common app essay, but based on SAT and GPA alone, I should get into Sacred Heart where I want to go.
My advice for younger forumers is to keep your grades up and go to school, because sophomore year, I barely went to school or did work and it made my gpa drop so far and it took me almost a year of 4.0 to get it back to a 3.2 cumulative for all of hs because of just one bad year and it was a huge pain in the ass, so yeah, go to class and do your work, or else it will come back to bite you in the ass eventually. Also try to have a good relationship with at least one teacher because you need a letter of recommendation and you want them to write really good things about you. Middle school doesn't really matter but use the time to get into good habits. Being organized will really save your ass. Spending 5 minutes to get your stuff in line will save you from spending 15 minutes later looking for stuff.
Also take notes on post it notes in your english books, it makes writing essays 10000 times easier
