If you're looking for one I would suggest the logitech gamepad F310 or any Logitech controller in general. Logitech have made the best controllers I have ever used, they are comfortable and have a good grip

thing about the F310 is that the triggers and brown townog sticks are stiff as hell, and the wings are on the short side (no problem for me as I have small hands)
the price is awesome though

I use a Dualshock 4 controller with DS4Windows. It's a pretty good controller.

i just use a ps3 controller

i used to use a ps3 controller too, i still do but i used to too

Ayyy

yeah, that's a good controller

my sister doesn't think it's very ergonomic, but she's just so used to Playstation/Xbox controllers so whatever lol

xb360 masterrace

i wish there was some place you could get it with a decent d-pad though

she's just so used to Playstation/Xbox controllers so whatever lol
those are completely different controllers though?
the gamepad linked is a playstation styled controller...

that's what he's saying innit
his sister is used to standard console controllers and not the F310

The problem with Xbox controllers is they don't have much of a good grip, the playstation controllers have always had a good grip and are easier to use. The xbox controller is horrible and I hate playing with it sometimes, when I played Bioshock infinite on hard two days ago I had to face of the handymen which drove me insane and some of it is the controllers fault because it was just hard to use. When I use a mouse and keyboard its more accurate, when I played gta v on xbox it was a little bit hard to aim sometimes (when auto aim is off of course) when on PC its easy as hell to do anything. Imagine trying to play Unreal tournament with a controller, it would be really difficult.

I'ma assume that I'm clearly in the minority here judging by posts in this topic, but I actually find controlling via a mouse to be quite awkward, especially in shooting. I find a controller much nicer and often accurate to use for aiming.
Maybe I'm just used to auto-assists though? But I don't think I recognise having auto-assist compensate for a major amount.

Xbox 360 is the best controller for PC imo, just make sure you don't get some off brand glowy one if you want it to last. Stick with the ones from microsoft.
And if you like the thumbsticks being in the wrong place go with PS3 controllers.

Not all games are first person shooters?

Uhh, I didn't imply all games were?
But I was quite specifically talking about how I feel in regards to playing shooters.
