the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya is not loveual at all (except yes it is sometimes, rofl i forgot for a second)
some episodes should not be watched in front of small children but most of them would be fine
the loveual stuff that is in it is for humor, so if they're old enough to get that kinda jokes, it shouldn't be an issue

It depends on what you find hilarious, it had a large amount of boob jokes and over all dumb stuff.

they die in the first episode at the end with no resolution he's just like 'oops' and dies
it's funny and absurd, but got damn some episodes are really good. like the one where the robot falls in love with a coffee maker, the one with the day that repeated over and over again
