I'd hate to it, but it looked like an edgy serious sam rip off which in itself was a parody of duke nukem and some of the older shooters. The movement speed is too low and console style inventory wheel is heresy considering that this franchise and genre started on the pc. Also forget that Ubisoft style UPlay DRM.

They never released Mother 1 in the US in the first place.
Earthbound is called Mother 2 in Japan, while Earthbound Beginnings is Mother 1.
