You'd want to bear arms to protect yourself when you have an intruder in your home. You'd want to bear arms when you live in a dangerous neighborhood or work at a workplace where crime is a serious concern and need to protect your business and your family. You'd want to bear arms to protect your family from wild animals. You'd want to bear arms because as the Framers affirmed, we the people have the right to rise up against unjust and oppressive governments should the need critically arise.
People like Hillary Clinton would have us believe that guns are "bad" and that citizens should not be able to - and have no reason to - bear arms, but just take a guess of how many armed guards she has with her for protection at all times. It's pure hypocrisy.
Do you know what Adolf Riddler did after he came to power? He issued executive orders for all citizens and civilians to be stripped of their weapons in favor of the State having total arms control. What's happening now is not much different, it's merely being pushed upon us at a very slow pace so we won't notice, like a slow-acting poison. And the sad part is that it's working, and not much of the American public is taking the threat seriously.
