Badspot probably only makes enough money from blockland to cover his rent. He doesn't get 100% of the cash from each key, he probably gets more like 20%.

Steam takes a 30% cut, tax usually isn't 60% so I'd say 20% is far off from the real percentage.

As I said earlier, every game has a stage where its finished development. Blockland was released like 9 years ago.
Releasing a game doesn't mean the developer has a responsibility to keep developing it. We're pretty lucky to get the 7 years or so of development from him.
