yes

BMG can cripple an APC if the shots are well placed
if the apc is made out of cardboard, yes.
I doubt a .50 bmg can cripple an apc

depends on the apc, but many can be taken out by .50 BMG

.50 BMG made with a hardened steel core can penetrate about about 25mm RHAe.

APCs are designed to take hits from the front and sides.

this means their top armor is generally thinner.

can you see where i'm going with this?

also, much modern armor uses ceramic, which tends to be brittle compared to rolled homogenous steel. .50 BMG, in armored combat, is almost always fired from a machinegun. this means that if one hit lands, you'll probably see a few - or a lot more - hit in around the same area. so it's got the crushing effect of a volley reducing the condition of the armor.

Anyone else find shooting a 30-30 lever action to be quite satisfying?

quite so, my father and I plan to get a .357 Marlin sometime although we talked about a .30-30

New Firearm of the day

Best Mosin:

M91/31 Mosin Nagant PU

The one and only true belgian weapon.
The M249 with a whopping 200 round belt and a rate of fire up to 800RPM.
Firing 5.56×45mm NATO rounds and weighting 10Kg loaded
My all time favorite LMG.

Besides the M249 belgium also made the famous P90 and FN F2000

oops
Anyway the P90 is famous and used by special forces and counter-terrorist groups.
The rate of fire of the P90 is even higher than from the M249.
It even made its way in counter strike and various other games.

I find weapons with a manual action to be more satisfying in general to use.

who needs that when you have

the revolver rifle
This reminds me of metro 2033 where you could actually make a revolver rifle...

what's the point?

It's kind of the best of both worlds. The accuracy of a rifle but with the fast reloads of a pistol.

???? a magazine can reload just as quickly as a speedloader
