From what I've seen Windows 10 pretty much fixes all the problems I had with Windows 8. Also its free if you get it within a year so of course I'm going to upgrade.

if you're on windows 8 or 7 it should be on your taskbar
just click that and it should pop up a thing to reserve a copy

Windows 10 is not free. You get a free upgrade if you currently have 7 or 8. Usually you can snatch the key and iso from an upgrade and install it elsewhere, though.
