PSA to Summer Sale SophomoresSo you're here at your 2nd annual Summer Sale. Which means you've already felt the bountiful load that Lord Gaben had for us last year. Allow me to hit you with a few facts that may save this sale for you.If you got carried away last summer; you probably own everything that will get a memorable flash or daily sale this year. So be warned! Don't be upset when this years sale doesn't seem as bountiful as last year. It doesn't suck, you just own everything already.The community event always feels rigged after your first year. Whether it is or isn't I suppose is a matter of how tight my tinfoil hat is fitting. But I will say I've firsthand seen the power of organized Reddit impacting polls or anything that requires mass #'s. For some reason Steam Sale Events are immune. For this reason, dont get to wrapped up in the conspiracy of the community event. Craft your badge and take your experience into the next Halloween sale this year.Pass your wisdom down to the newcomers. For some reason they still exist. I have trouble believing it, but yes there are still people out there whom are experiencing their first sale. Share your wisdom. Point them in the right directions; you bought the games last year, let us know this year whether it was worth that 99 cents you spent.In closing, if you're a Sophomore to steam sales... just remember its never as good as it was the first time. This flow chart is more important than ever. But most importantly, just remember that we as PC gamers get to experience one of the greatest aspects of gaming. The Steam Summer Sale, thank you Gaben.
