It's nobody's business what you do with your body. I don't feel there being a need for these celebrities to announce that they are gay, or transgender. It's extremely annoying, and privacy should be more of a priority to these people.
The irony here is that there would be no need to announce it if people actually didn't care.
The whole reason why there's a demand for stories like this is that there are tons of transgender youth who are afraid to show who they are because of the violence, discrimination, and judgement towards transgendered people. So when someone like Bruce Jenner came along, who was already a celebrity within the public spotlight, and chose to transition into Caitlyn Jenner, a lot of people saw it as an inspiring story of someone resisting adversity to live their own identity. This
wouldn't even be breaking news if society wasn't adversarial to transgendered people.
If you don't like learning too much about people's personal details, you shouldn't choose to read about it. No one is forcing you to read Vanity Fair at gunpoint. Likewise, people who "have nothing against transgenders" do not publicly disparage a transgendered person's strives for equality, regardless of what you say you believe.
I see nothing wrong with it, but what I do feel is wrong, is when these people deceive others in relationships, and then their partner finds out that they were sleeping with a girl or a boy all along.
This seldom ever happens.
