its a strange day when SMdock acts better than this forum

i originally thought this place was a hell of a lot better than SMdock, but i'm beginning to rethink that
"people are disagreeing with me this place is awful"

no, thats actually the exact opposite of what i'm saying but we're getting p far off topic.

why is the minuteman and RR quest line so fuzzy? im really feeling bethesda pushing their mary sues again

I got the ending spoiled for me by a thread on 8chan, and I just shrugged it off. I took it like an adult, I didn't throw a conniption fit over it.
There's a big difference though between stumbling upon a spoiler, and someone maliciously attempting to spoil something, knowing it will upset other people.

And yeah, spoilers are worth taking seriously. A big part of games, TV shows, movies and books, is experiencing its story through the medium itself. Of course it takes away when you're told the plot without any of the build-up that the medium provides.
People don't want the first-hand experience taken away from them, and it is rude to do so against their will.

not sure if anybody else knows, but it's ~$10 off on GMG with promo code 17PERC-FALLOU-T4XGMG
figured I might as well post it because it also activates on steam

can we talk about nuka cola machines for a minute

how are these things supposed to work? is the whole machine really just to keep the 6 nuka colas that you can manage to fit in it cold? how do people buy one, do they pay to unlatch the door? I can't imagine a big company relying on the honor system for people to just take the number of bottles they paid for, and after those 6 bottles are gone what next?

I have been contemplating this for the entire game, and I'm really glad you mentioned it.

I have no idea how it works.
It's a massive vending machine, but it looks to only have room for about 6 bottles at once.
Like, even the Milk vending machines work like an actual vending machine.

yeah honestly that's just some really hard stuff to get behind

Maybe there are more stored inside the machine for easy refill

i'll just take 'em for free

I would maybe guess so.
The front of the machine does look like a door, but it doesn't open.

And there is no way in this technologically advanced universe that the inside of that massive fridge is dedicated to refridgerating that tiny little box.
After all, actual fridges in the game are the same size as our actual fridges, and they refridgerate a much larger area.

Either way it doesn't explain the fact that once you've paid you get access to all of the bottles stored in the compartment.

The New Vegas vending machines don't seem too much better.

At the very least the nuka colas are compartmentalised, so you maybe don't get access to all of them when you pay. Although there aren't individual doors for each shelf.

Also, the same machine still looks to only hold about 5 bottles, and doesn't look like more roll over once one has been taken out.

I think they kind of over-designed vending machines, to try and make them look unique.
When in reality, currently existing vending machines are pretty much the best design for such an object.

each vending machine contains its own nuka cola manufacturing plant and people who take more than they paid for are dealt on the spot by service bots

i'd believe it
