Author Topic: ►►►Nation RP General - Learn and share in one convenient place! (OP IN PROGRESS)  (Read 116792 times)

so myself and decepticon were looking through the old Earth 1990 threads again

we both really miss playing, participating and watching those. would you guys play if someone hosted another one again? if so what changes would you make if any?

I'm done with school in like two weeks so I could definitely host another

Which threads are we talking about?

this and this one rather than the earth.0 threads. at the same time, i was leaning towards a more modern start, around 2005-ish so we can get into near future tech development

honestly i wouldn't mind an earth.0 revival either

That sounds fun. I'd play.

Also, Nation Forge II is ready to launch, I'm just holding it for personal reasons.

i want a jairo game smh

a congress simulator would only be fun if we had enough people playing. there is macro-congress and micro-congress, for the us specifically. you got the minority and majority leaders and their whips doin' stuff, pushing bills through general, that kind of fun stuff.

then you have committees, chairs, etc.

you need more people. i mean, my state's model congress hardly works (they had to condense committees) because even 200 people isn't enough.

I'd definitely be up for a earth 1990-like reboot.

Comittees will likely be very generalized.  There won't be a "Committee for Low Carbon Emissions, Coal Chapter".  It would probably be something like "Energy Committee."

The spin I would like to take on it is up to players to choose.  Even as far as being in a custom country, I kinda don't want to start with any "political parties" per se.  I think I might just allow players to develop their own political parties with their own talking points within a certain time frame, and others can choose to adhere to that or not.

This is just my take, though.  Jairo and I have just begun talking about it and are planning to discuss much more in-depth when summer break comes for the both of us.

Really early USA, before there were political parties, could be interesting
