can't get fallout 3 to stop crashing.

so i'm at the beginning where amata talks to you during the party, and you tell her it's fun. as soon as you click it, it crashes. i've tried installing the patch but that didn't work. switching to xp sp3 didn't work. what else can i do?

Reinstall the game. If that doesn't work you can try tale of two wastelands and start in vault 101 if you have f:nv

Fix Beth's stuffty ass engine? Impossible. Maybe he should try seeking help from the appropriate place. Heaven forbid someone contract a life threatening disease and come here for help.

Harm's right though this is most likely an issue with Bethesda's... forget-all weird engine.

you could be just about done looting a NCR tent in Camp Golf and the game would suddenly corrupt when you go back outside because you're wearing a funny hat.

You can either try windows mode because that works in some cases

Another solution would be going to the Fallout.ini text file to change bUseThreadedAI=0 to bUseThreadedAI=1, and add iNumHWThreads=2 right under it
