Author Topic: Lagging out X_X  (Read 1191 times)

Blockland used to run just fine on my laptop (HP Pavilion dv1000)
then one day I just started to lag out on all of the servers every 5 minutes.
I thought it was my internet connection 'till I plugged the internet into the laptop.
Now I'm thinking it is Blockland or something I did while forwarding ports (never actually worked)

Imagine how hard it is to do 'Irks Ultimate Challenge' in less then 5 minutes.

-this computer is fast and works fine with everything else
-It has Windows XP installed on it and I'm not going to upgrade

Please help me... :cookieMonster:

The bolded phrase confuses me. It makes it sound like you had no internet at all until you "plugged it in." The best advice I can give you through this confusion is that it is most likely your internet connection. If all else fails, call your internet provider, but they would probably send you to some Indian who can barely speak english. (no racism here, just a reference to offshoring, if you are one of those people who scream "tribal" as soon as someone says a specific race in any sentence.)

Tl;dr? Read this: Probably your internet connection. Call your internet provider if problems persist.

He probably had wireless on the laptop and when it started to lag out he plugged it in to get a better connection to see if it would help.

Yeah, but wireless wouldn't drop out on such a regular basis.  I've seen this happen while he's on my server.  Definitely some sort of internet connection loss or packet loss.

Or interference, microwave ovens are horrific for wireless interference.

Monty, we've already a wireless issue.  He's already tried directly cabled to the router, no change.

already checked the wireless issue*

Damn lack of edit button.

In the bold i'm trying to say I plugged the laptop directly into the router so I had the best internet connection I can get. I usually just use wireless internet while playing Blockland.

i had to do irks ultimate challenge in five minutes you get past five then you stop then you just do the rest later

I can't, I lag really badly on level 5

funny that i have a modify button huh
