Author Topic: So I created a little multiplayer webgame.  (Read 1855 times)

I think I fixed the issues where you would randomly switch to playing as other people. The timeout before someone is kicked for being AFK was changed from 100 seconds to 300 seconds. (5 minutes) Also there's a max of 25 clients instead of 10 now.

I also added some extra logging to help figure out why it crashes sometimes when someone disconnects.

It's back up again.

seems interesting, but my browser fuked itself over

The player speeds up too fast, is there even a limit?
You should probably increase the friction too.

I can't even move, what are the keybinds?

I fixed a bug where the client crashed when more than 10 people were connected.

Refresh the page and reconnect.

The movement is kind of gross, you should make it easier to cancel your momentum because it feels like you're in an ice rink or something

Maybe that's what you were going for idk

Controls are really awkward.

It's really hard to figure out why something randomly crashes when everything else works perfectly.

Wait...this is like a primitive Agar.io

So the server has been up for 4 days straight but hasn't had many players so that doesn't rule out it crashing when many people join. It also seems to have leaked 5mb of memory in that time. That's not a ton but I'd still be interested to see what's causing that.

randomly disconnecting causes this
