Author Topic: hodot's going vegetarian - lasted 11 days  (Read 25882 times)

I really need to start compiling dumb brown townogies from this forum, I'm sure I've said this before but it seems like something I should be doing by now.
An brown townogy is a comparison between too like things which that post isn't. That post is more a statement with a negative connotation and could be considered borderline ad hominem toward depending on your view point.

The goal of the author was that he wanted to state that eating meat was neither morale nor immoral because us meat eater don't give a stuff what McZealot thinks, where going to take a bite into flesh of another animal and enjoy it.

the key word is "superiority," genuinely considering them an inferior individual in some respect
The level of "goofball" required to think anything like that definitely puts them a notch below average.

and not whether or not you'll enjoy their company
I've yet to meet to meet a morality-based vegetarian or whatever who didn't behave like a pompous hipster.

That's a simile.

This makes a bit more sense; you really should have just said that instead of trying to be poetic about it.

the issue i'm having is the assumption that believing something is indicative that someone is legitimately inferior in some way (in this case, intellectually) which is, in this case, fairly silly

literally all of that looks grody to me lmao

oi what is that sandwich because i want one
tritip which has been barbecued, one the best meats for sandwiches in my opinion.

If a person's beliefs and behaviours aren't a way to judge them, then what is?

replying just to save this for later inside of my 'show posts'

You might find the meat listed as triangle stake or as bottom sirloin subprimal cut. In CA it is marketed as Tritip.

that's not really what i'm sayin

from my perspective, i don't think it's ever really reasonable to actually talk down someone and consider them inferior. you can disagree and not like someone, but it's really condescending and arrogant to legitimately consider them as less-worthy beings because of it. like if you fundamentally disagree with me on that w/e but that's where i'm coming from

This is solely a matter of personal opinion on ethics, if that's what you were getting at you should have made so clear earlier because there is zero point to debating something like that.

i figured that'd be clear considering i've been talking about not considering people inferior

and that's p much exactly what i've been saying, and outlook on value of animal life is categorised in the same way, which has been the basis of what i've said
