Either you HDD has no bootable OS or it's broken.
If it's broken, you have three choices.
1. Go buy a new one and a copy of Windows.
2. Go buy a new one and install a free OS.
3. Go buy a new computer because if it's so old that the hard drive failed, it has probably payed for itself by now.
