Author Topic: Nintendo unveils new "Metroid" game, cancelation petition starts immediately  (Read 2709 times)

This is the petition. This is the trailer.

The first thing I noticed when this was brought to my attention, was that 90% ratio of dislikes to likes. That is worse than Rebecca Black's "Friday," which was famous for being hated. While I watched it, I noticed a downgrade to almost Nintendo 64-level graphics. Versus games like Super Mario 3D Land and Star Fox 64 3D, it looks like trash. Not to mention that it has nothing to do with the Metroid series besides name and combat-style.

Watch the trailer and discuss.

It has to do with the federation troopers in the metriod 3 game.

Still looks garbage

Oh-no Nintendo tried something new.
I don't see how this makes it a bad spin-off game.

looks fun.

i don't see the point of hate.

you want a metroid game, you're getting a metroid game.

sure, it might not be the metroid prime 4 you've always wanted, but it still looks fun.

ATLEAST IT'S NOT THE METROID VERSION OF SONIC BOOM: RISE OF LYRIC

I thought about that too. But regardless, it looks very bland and generic, and of course ugly. Nintendo is using a 3rd-party developer to make it, of which already has two canceled titles under their belt. It's not just nostalgia.

I think it would make a fantastic ipad and tablet game.

i would like it more if they weren't chibi
nonetheless cancellation for a game because it's not a 100% whole grain game to the series is stupid

I actually want to play this though :c

whenever i think of metroid i think of other m and say yeah it can wait a bit longer do some workshoppin

i can understand being angry, but if you start a petition to cancel it (which will never work ????) you're a baby

Nintendo fans at times irritate me because they get upset when their precious games deviate from the norm.

something new
spin-off game

Haha, I guess April fool's day is different in Japan.

I really like the mainstream Pokemon games, but I also liked the change in pace that was the Mystery Dungeon series.

...I can't really say the same for the new Metroid game, but then again I don't like Metroid games in general.
