torture isnt a valid punishment at all
it's pointless. life imprisonment or execution actually make sense because you're removing them from society and the world. torture doesn't do that. it just breaks a broken person even more.

i don't mean like really gruesome torture, but a death that isn't instant and is painful for those who do really forgeted up stuff
