Do you guys think Blockland will ever get updated again at some point?

I'm not trying to make this topic to push Badspot to update the game but I'm just curious about the community perspective on this subject, after all this game still have a community behind it.

We've heard about this "Hat" update coming on but there is still no new information about it except from that Badspot and Rotondo livestream and that leaked .obj model of a testhat, so this still gives me a little hope.

No but seriously, the community is growing and Blockland is bound to update. As previously said, it will have to take some time.

Small updates and minor bug fixes, that's it.

Badspot has stated that he's tired of developing blockland after 9-10 years and that he has lost interest in any kind of major updates like shaders or physics.  Kind of ironic because the removal of maps and addition of shaders was supposedly to modernize blockland and allow for major updates that maps held back.  But the game is old and we got our moneys worth so im not complaining.
