Author Topic: What are your most fustrating and annoying missions in games?  (Read 2874 times)

So I've been playing some games lately on the normal difficulty and hard difficulty and sometimes the game can be fair, unfair or lazy. There are just some missions that are horribly made or have put huge amounts of health in the boss battles. So what are yours? here are mine:

Hitman 2: silent assassin: at the gates and hidden valley.

These two missions take place in japan in a snow storm, the maps are huge and are full of snipers and guards that patrol everywhere. In the first mission, hidden valley 47 needs to look for a secret entrance to enter some Japanese guy's castle. The problem with hidden valley is your just going from the start of the map to the end of the loving map which makes it idiotic and this is a game of stealth ffs. There is illiterately no point in sneaking in these missions because if you even take a guards disguise the other people that patrol will tell you to Stop and they will cheek your ID. After they check your ID they will immediately shoot you on sight even though your disguised as a guard. Oh and the snipers kill you in two hits and will only shoot if alerted.

At the gates is just turning off power generators and dealing with the guards and snipers again just to enter this Japanese bastard's castle and it has been voted the worst hitman mission out of all 5 games.

Max Payne 3: The Great American Savior of the Poor

This mission requires you to go into a hotel and blow it up while dealing with every enemy possible, the issue is they will swarm Max and you will die all the time on this mission especially the last part of the mission on the roof top where once again Rockstar games proves they make unfair checkpoints in their games. When you're on the top of the hotel the whole place is blowing up and you have to deal with a swarm of enemies while you take cover behind a small wall or something (I don't remember). They can kill you easily and when you have dealt with them you have to kill a heavy armed guy that comes out of nowhere.

Halo 2: Tartarus boss fight/final mission

Halo 2 is probably the best game I have ever played but I still remember the amount of times I died trying to beat Tartarus. He has the strongest energy Hammer and has a bunch of brutes alongside him making it difficult on which one to kill, if Tartarus hits you with his energy hammer once or twice your dead and you have to fight him all over again which makes this mission a chore. It took me a lot of time trying to beat him and it really pissed me off

Spider man 2: Doctor octopus boss fight/final mission (Ps2/console version)

Not many people have played spider man 2 but I played it and I defiantly recommend it as its a open world game filled with a lot of stuff to do, but the final fight is a pain in the ass. It took me several days just to beat doctor octopus just because spider man couldn't loving swim, if Doctor octopus's tentacles get you then your forgeted and yet again just like Halo 2's boss fight you need to start all over again and beat him. He will swing you around the whole level and if spidey falls in the water you'll die as well which is really loving annoying.

I could go on all day but I want to hear what you guy's most annoying missions are in games

i've found some the borderlands 2 DLC kind of annoying
hammerlock's hunt is full of large monsters with huge healthbars that are just bullet sponges

even as a gunzerker just spraying them down, it takes a while

any mission where you have to follow someone without them noticing you

Deadline on Hotline Miami 2 hard mode

Deadline on Hotline Miami 2 hard mode
wasn't deadline in the first hotline miami though
speaking of annoying hotline miami missions, casualties in hotline miami 2 was the most fustrating thing i have done in a video game in a long time, but at least the music was really good

final boss in starfy 5
forget the meteor

Holy forget this mission almost brough me to tears when I was young. Robbing Uncle Sam was up there too.

Ftfy :)
lol woops
can't blame me though

It's not a mission, but the dogs in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are annoying as forget. Especially with MISERY installed.

loving Ocarina of time 3D Master Quest
i swear to god
my first playthrough (aka right now) i cant find enough keys most of the time
you really need to think outside the box most of the time.

basically every mission in hotline miami was frustrating and annoying. didn't like the music much either, but thats unrelated i guess

missions with time limits for no reason, with long runs that make it so that if you can fail even if you kill all the enemies and dont have enough time to run

bulllllet sponges

when open world games stick you in non-open missions. GTA 5 does this really often. tons of one-time-use locations you cant get back into
