Do you agree?

Yes, these combat systems suck
No, I enjoy the combat systems in these games
I didn't watch the video but I wanted to vote on a poll anyway

a very interesting opinion, one of which I agree with. Just wondering what's the forum's take on the matter.

I never really realized it until I listened to the video. That really opened my eyes. I've played through the old Jedi Knight games, and there's definitely a different playstyle.

The Mount & Blade games came up next in mind, they do a really good job at combat. (And not the fidgety mechanic-exploit multiplayer "Skill" combat)

Definitely, don't think I'll be buying any AAA games for a while.

video definitely wouldn't have got nearly as many clicks if it was titled "all third person action games in the last 10 years have stuff combat"

that's about it tho, i've played 100 other triple A games that don't suffer from those flaws. kinda weird to lump all triple A games into that category

dark souls, mount and blade, and a lot of other TP action games from the last 10 years have great combat mechanics

Mount and Blade definitely is not a triple A game.

The game For Honor (Shown at E3) has a really unique combat system that gives you really good control over what you want to do.

You can see a good example here: https://youtu.be/sp3NKQlJPuo?t=1m25s

chivalry's combat is pretty simple

dark souls, mount and blade, and a lot of other TP action games from the last 10 years have great combat mechanics
exactly, i should specify

"all third person action games that are batman, assassin's creed or shadows of mordor in the last 10 years have stuff combat systems"

now this i can get behind

This is a pretty cool opinion man.

I always check his channel before buying a game, he's a pretty smart guy.

what exactly is wrong with the witcher's combat
he provided decent examples for batman but that was about it as far as i could tell
either way
