7. Use criticism to your advantage, if some one talks stuff about your server, ask them how to make it better.
Its never a good idea to get rid of players that are criticizing your server.
If the criticism goes on without end, you may advise the player to leave.

as an admin, you really need to take control if the server is mm. if you have to go afk, /never/ set dedicated mode on, try to get another admin to administrate for you. here's some useful commands that you need to know for mafia madness:
/mmsetignore player_name <- that command is useful to punish players that have free killed/not read the rules. setting mm ignore on a player makes the automagicly not participate in the upcoming rounds.
/redruls player_name <- good way to see if the player has read the rules yet, this is incredibly useful because i have had some players lie about reading the rules before

also with mm, do not hesitate to ban people. if someone has free-killed 5 times in a row then they probably need atleast a ban for a couple days, not a /mmsetignore or a kick.

The most important part of being a good host is to be welcoming to people who join your server. Players tend to stay longer when the host is there and acting like he/she actually cares.

I still automatically say "hi" every time I hear that join noise, not matter how long I go without playing, lol
