TLDR:
Figures published by the interior ministry showed 61% of those whose ballots had been counted voting "No", against 39% voting "Yes".

Greece's governing Syriza party had campaigned for a "No", saying the bailout terms were humiliating.

RIP Greece?

What to do when your country is about to default on multiple loans and go bankrupt? Tell the people who are offering to bail you out under certain conditions to go forget themselves because you're not changing anything about how broken your country is.
For bonus points feel free to get up onto the table, pull your pants down and waggle your butt-cheeks at all the major leaders in the Eurozone whilst making fart noises with your mouth.

I'm sorry, but is all this really worth the possibility of destroying your country?

well a bailout wouldnt have helped them. they would have needed yet another in a year. and just have larger debt for it.

sometimes its best to just let stuff crash. the us is going to do it eventually here. we cant fake it forever.

Greece don't go bankrupt I like your gyros at least
