Author Topic: The Worst CN Shows EVER  (Read 18187 times)

they generally only show newer spongebob episodes so no luck finding goodness there either

Or channels. Nickelodeon past 2011, for example. Even before iCarly ended, Nick was struggling to find traction. They haven't had a show that's lasted more than 6 months other than Breadwinners and Sanjay & Craig, both of which are just essentially bad knockoffs of Cartoon Network's Regular Show and Adventure Time. Their shows are all generic, bland, run of the mill elementary to preteen "comedies" with boring niches and unmemorable characters. It's so sad because half of Nick's lineup is just SpongeBob reruns, a shadow of its former self.

bella and the bulldogs will save kinc nick

avatar was the best thing nick ever had and they canned it. ill never understand why

how did they can it? both shows are finished

they had Legend of Korra cut short because it wasn't making them enough money. it would have been way longer is what I read, like the original series.

first of all: ed edd n eddy was sub-par

As far as I can tell, Ed Edd 'n Eddy is disliked by people who don't really get the show's odd sense of humor.

you like steven universe
opinion discarded

into the trash it goes

because the writing is superb, it has a cohesive, continuous plot, the characters have depth (for the most part, aside from ones that haven't been shown as much and one in particular that was just a real gross guy in only one flashback episode), its musical direction is fantastic (not just talking about the singing bits either, and i'm not just talking about the 'quality' of the songs, i also mean the thought put into them in the context of the show itself), the writers are phenomenal at building a world and story without saying much directly, as well as giving people the tools they need to actually come to conclusions on their own and have them confirmed later on in the show, it's emotional af and it's not bad at it, etc.

i'm not saying you have to like steven universe, obv there's never going to be a show for everyone, but holy F in my B hol it RLY GUD. it's something you can't really appreciate unless you actually watch the show, but there's a reason why it has such a heavily invested fanbase.
this reminds me of the stuff neckbeards would say to justify why they watch mlp

Generally, in terms of other programming, Nick is pretty much dead. They have a bad lineup, bad puns, and has the most god damn cringe worthy schedule. Literally, its first for little kids, then loving SPONGEBOB RE-RUNS, and then late night. Like holy stuff.

IMO, Disney is your best bet in terms of good cartoons, but even then it has some bad shows.

Uncle Grandpa
Total Drama Island
Total Drama World
Steven Universe
We Bear Bears is probably going to be crap too

tbh it seems like some people are just hating steven universe for the sake of hating steven universe
I think its alright. I don't watch it often, but if it's on TV and there isn't anything better on, i'll watch it.
The only thing that would make me dislike it would be the fanbase, which can be pretty annoying sometimes, but thats the fanbase and not the show.

i've seen a few episodes, didn't like it, moved on. i've got no opinion of the people who like it either: if they like it, they should watch it. good for them and stuff.

but aside from all that, i still think that people majorly exaggerate the quality of the show.

I don't even watch TV anymore.  I want CN to remain pure in my mind.

they didn't even finish airing a season iirc and put loving newer spongebob reruns in its place
