Author Topic: [MEGATHREAD] Tower Unite - Steam Keys are rollin' out!  (Read 14359 times)

i've donated before + i gave 60$ on the indiegogo
im excited

We've hit 35K! now we will have not two but THREE game worlds ready by the time Tower Unite releases on Steam! In celebration, perks have been adjusted.

- 50 more bricks have been added for the DIFFERENCE MAKER perk, grab it while you can!
- Boardwalk Producer reduced from $2000 to $1000
- Producer reduced from $5000 to $3000

Tower Unite has hit 41K, and some updates have rolled around on the Indiegogo page.

At $40,000, the "Gemstones" idea was introduced. Gemstones will be unlocked every $1,000 they raise and will be a small surprise, for example, bumper cars (yes, if you didn't guess, bumper cars was the gem.) We don't know what the gem is until it's unlocked (I'm guessing they're voted on by the community.)

At $41,000, we unlocked the second gem, RC boats and planes.
And, in more personal news, I got permabanned from GMT servers. GG.

oh thank god i thought gems was a currency

Holy stuff. Someone claimed the $3,000 backing option.

97% funded! Sorry I'm late.

A new milestone has been passed. at $43K, we will now have 4 game worlds ready by the time TU rolls onto Early Access. also some new gems have been unlocked.

- Laser Tag
- Playable Drums and Guitar
- Monorail
- Air Hockey
- Shooting Gallery
- Condo Pets

Gems feel like things that should already be in the game or would eventually be added. Still nice nonetheless.
I might end up backing, getting the 4 copies.

This.

IMO, I think the real problem is that there isn't enough interesting things to do in the Plaza. From what I've seen in GMT, people either go to their condos, go play one of the game modes, or go shopping (seriously, the boardwalk looks like a ghost town.). And while yes, I DO think that what's in the gems will help this situation, I feel like they need to go bigger, somehow.

We are 100% funded! The stretch goals haven't been announced, but champagne bottles should be a thing.

Yeah, that seems like a good idea.

Meeh.. I dunno. I wanna also get the 'difference maker' but you only get 1 key for alpha and the actual game. :( It's structured so oddly. I wanna pay an amount to get all perks UNDER that, but nooo. You pay x amount of dollars, you'll get this, this and this. You pay y, and you'll get this, this, but you won't get this, you'll get that. wtf.

It's time to wake this thread up again; the first stretch goal has been announced:

At $60K, the beach will be extended. Ride boats and find stuff with a metal detector.

I'm going to be honest with you, I think this is a really disappointing stretch goal. Maybe if they do something cool with finding stuff on the beach it would be cool, but the way they explained it sounds flat-out boring.
