Planr said  "Aliens don't exist."
You never did. I'm not calling you out for it because you never said something like that.

Oh. I was just trying to jump in. I wasnt trying to refute anything.

Correction, as far as we know aliens don't exist. There currently is no physical evidence of non-earth lifeforms, but that doesn't mean there isn't any out there. Nobody knows for sure whether or not alien life exists because the mechanisms from which life forms is not fully understood and it's not clear what the probability of any given planet giving rise to life is.
Actually, the only thing we know is that we don't know. Both saying alien life form exist and don't exist would be equally ignorant since we can't prove or disprove either.

see, if the universe truly is infinite or so humongously big, then there's bound to be SOMETHING somewhere.

man thinking about what would happen if/when humanity found aliens is really trippy

like suddenly there are other intelligent beings and civilizations
or just organisms

good 'ol probability

guess what they're gonna find

nothing

guess what they're gonna find

nothing

Holy crap how do you know??!

From what I heard, our neighbor solar systems are pretty far, so it's like we live in the country while some solar systems are so close to each other like a city.

Dude, I have a feeling that religion-based murders are going to skyrocket if we do find life.

If alien life finds us, would it be like columbus finding the native americans?

If alien life finds us, would it be like columbus finding the native americans?
alien life won't find us

we're going to find them

but uh hopefully not

see, if the universe truly is infinite or so humongously big, then there's bound to be SOMETHING somewhere.
that's why nobody's gonna find anything

I think it's a waste of time and money to specifically try to find aliens
nothing going to come of it... but other than that, what are we gonna do? like, if we did find some, what would we do?? there is nothing we could do, except for continue to sit here like we've been doing for the past million years

it would be a lot more worthwhile to spend effort on things that are going to help us in the near future

b-but we can trade with them!

but seriously, we must take to the stars as part of one galactic campaign to dominate the stars in the name of humanity and wipe out all the filthy xenos

Also, if the universe is so big, then there should be a forget ton of life to go with it right?

The sun is a typical star. There are also a forget ton of stars in the galaxy that are older, not to mention in other galaxies as well. Some of these stars should have a earth-life planet.

Earth is not the first planet, there have been many many many more planets that have come before it, as far back as like 999999 billion years ago or something like that. If there is a civilization created before our time, by now they should of colonized the galaxy considering the time gap.

b-but we can trade with them!

*a new shipment has arrived!*

Whoa what's this?! Gah this food is a million years old!

14 billion would be around the max, according to science
