buddy you do realize that if you are actually good at roleplaying you won't be as stuff as those guys.

first come first serve, if i make a comic about punching you straight in the gob then i punched you straight in the gob, there is no dispute over that.

it's pretty clear that you guys are toxic af, but also why in the blue loving hell do you guys want to have everything be scripted, this isn't a roleplay and it's sure as hell isn't good, you guys are just a bunch of dummies in a circlejerk which continuously insult people they don't like behind their back as everybody in the group nods in agreement.

telling me that 'hey you know we are just in a skype call to prevent people from doing awful stuff like powergaming and godmodding', even though you guys literally allowed a demigod in your previous comic brawl thread and still allow overpowered characters in thread, which is incredibly dumb.

and don't get me started on your skype group scripted storyline, because you seriously believe that if i created a character in this thread i would willingly lose and get that character killed, because in an actual rp you cannot control when you die, in this one apparently you do???

Seriously now, take for instance HL2RP (Half Life 2 RP) in Garry's Mod.

In HL2RP you don't walk around in a scripted stage play, you don't control when you get attacked and when you die, you don't control which people you interact with and which people you ignore because in HL2RP you are actually interacting with the environment around you and meeting new people, whereas here you have to drag out the dull process of speaking to another person to see what they would consider an appropriate attack towards their character, then drawing said attack and posting it on the thread.

In motherloving HL2RP you don't have to ask for permission to do something like start a riot, punching a guy or even killing a guy, as long as you do it properly:

From my perspective, you guys are doing everything related to RP wrong because you aren't even trying to hide the fact that you guys control whatever happens, which in any way limits a person's creativity in many ways.

no one likes spending time creating their own character just for some guy to come up and shoot them in the face and end their roleplay

lemme just stop you right there

you see, say you're person A and you make this really awsome comic of you punching this dude in the gob and are just about finishing up with it, and then you're about to post it and see that person B just happened to finish a comic and posted their character punching that person in the gob before you did, now you have this comic that you spent a ton of hard work on wasted since it doesnt fit in with the comic anymore.
thats what were trying to prevent from happening by going "hey I'm doing a comic with this part so can nobody else interfere please?"

in fact thats the whole reason why everyone was upset at legoboss initially, because he initiated this whole thing without even asking anyone else involved in his comic if it didnt interfere with anything they had planned.

gotta agree with this. this system is killing all forms of creativity because there's barely any freedom. step outside of the safe zone and you get banned instantly

I was confused about the guys not having a yellow zone

we banned lego at first because he was straight up godmodding by having his character land EXACTLY on top of another character and hitting them with some BS insane attack that was being shown as just outright killing a character.

we're not going to just have things be like "lol character dies cause other dude fell out of the sky on top of him", cause thats a stupid thing to do.

yes the person can properly roleplay shanking the other guy out of nowhere as they walk down a dark alleyway
it still has the same result

Buddy, hitting somebody without their permission to initiate combat is actually okay, but if you and others seriously want soooo hard for others to ask somebody else during combat what move they want you to do on them, then go for it but the system just doesn't work, combat isn't meant to be this forgetfest where every single move is scripted it's meant to be where Person A does something and Person B responds in some way.

Fistman attacked a demigod, which in my belief was literally just to prove a point, that the demigod shouldn't have been there from the get-go because he's just that, an overpowered and overly protected demigod that you rushed to the defense of even though it was really clear that there were flaws in his character design.

oh and one more thing (and this goes for all comics): why the hell is everyone fighting each other so much? what motive is there? is this the only form of storytelling you guys can produce?

this connects to my "showing off OCs in action scenes" post earlier

what if we made a map where certain locations are red zones or green zones
Red zones are high combat locations and you dont need to ask permission to attack someone, but you cant just insta-ko a character, you have to give them a chance to fight back.
Meanwhile green zones have the current rule of asking before attack.

This is a comic for having loads of fun, infact no one even has to fight eachother. It's just encouraged, so we can have something to do instead of aimless nothingness. Since aimless violence is better.

not if it completely ruins something that they planned out that would advance the plot of the comic

like I said, there is somewhat of a story here, its just

a. you didnt read parts of the comic (like the part where the spire revealed that it was a huge hunger games-esque tournament thing
b. it hasnt been revealed yet due to the section where it becomes relevant not being done yet

Neat

I'm literally confused about myself, why haven't I thought about that
Cross that, thanks for saving me, Glass Joe
