Author Topic: FNAF 4 is out  (Read 2168 times)

i think kiddies like fnaf because they can feel like they are getting a horror experience or something while playing a game that isn't even scary (see: goosebumps books)
i can nearly gaurentee the target audience of fnaf would be terrified of outlast or amnesia

FNAF is more like jump scares for kids.

Outlast is loving nightmare asylum snorting cocaine so hard that it's making cocainados while Slayer is blasting from a boom box at max volume.

my brother (11) is a fnaf fanboy, he says he just likes it because of the backstory. he hasn't even played the game
but that's just him, i don't know about everyone else

to expand upon this: i think this is the same reason pewdiepie and markiplier are popular with 11 year olds

children love stupid horror that isn't actually scary

And the first one isn't even a year old

And the first one isn't even a year old
2015's been a pretty productive year for Scott

I wonder how much money he's made

90% off horror games rely on junpscares

The only one I can think of that doesn't is scp-087-b

not true

Goddamnit we have a FNAF megathread and a gaming board.

Imo FNAF was creepier when it fell into the uncanny valley rather than making deteriorated and grotesque characters. That's my two cents. I've never played the game.

ouch

why does every fanf fan use the excuse "I like it because of the backstory"

it's literally the same thing as bronies saying "I like it because of the plot"

He should direct it to there.
