You try to convince the officers to open it but they don't have anything on hand in the building except lock picks. They do try one and even try listening to the sounds made by turning the numbers on the combination, but to no avail. The clerk, feeling sorry for you, goes down the hallway into one of the unknown rooms (turned out to be a break room) and carries out a small TV for you to watch.
In other frightening news, your uncle was spotted on security footage of a gas station in Rhode Island the day after he went missing. He was driving a small U-Haul truck with a crooked left headlight. Only the front was visible and there was not a front license plate, making the truck nearly untrackable. Being in Rhode Island, the police feel that he's traveling south and could be anywhere along the East Coast by now.
