Author Topic: Why do people commit Self Delete?  (Read 16669 times)

It's wrong, it's unnecessary, but it's understandable to feel like stuff. reft and bisj are just spewing stuff lol, i think reft is doing it to appear edgy now

Holy forget I just read through this thread and I have to say that I really am beginning to hate this forum for seeing the kinds of responses some people are making.
Not everyone here is an starfish. Fab and Khaz and anyone else on their side are fine. I'm with them. But people like Bisjac are starting to piss me off.
I have (self-diagnosed) depression. While I still believe that Self Delete is a route that I will never take, Self Delete and depression are not a topic you speak of lightly. If a person takes their own life for any reason, it's not okay, no matter what the conditions.

Everyone gets depressed. Thats normal.
Pussies cant cope and give up.

You and your excus'ist pill pipping generation is trying to pass the blame. Its easy to not be responsible for anything when you can just play the victim card and declare disabilities.
Depression is actually defined as a mental disorder by any doctor or institution or whatever other superior medical source you can find. Depression victims are not "pussies", and they can "cope" just fine.
And these are not "excuses". I once had a mental breakdown in bed because a forgot to turn the loving laundry machine on. This was last month. I'm not on any drugs or medications of any kind and I am a completely healthy human being.
EDIT: You also have the order wrong. Pills and other drugs do not cause depression. Depression victims use them as an escape from life.

None needed. Its common knowledge. Its a human trait.
I dont get why its so shocking to a few of you. You think you are supposed to be happy and feel hopeful and safe and accomplished at all times?

If we couldnt worry about things or be sad about events, then our minds would be unable to learn, and we would be unable to act and react properly to anything in life.

Its normal. Those who make a proper effort are rewarded with happiness later on. Thats the balance.
While pill poppers trying to cheat the system are forever in that slump lol.
There are two kinds of depression. The first is the human emotion that comes and goes. You get upset about something. Sadness is a better way to describe it.
The second is the disorder that I explained earlier that doesn't go away.

This generation. They don't know

depression is not something that should be taken as lightly as it is.  however the amount of people self diagnosing themselves with depression and the other people who use it for attention does hurt the people who actually severely suffer from depression.  i've struggled with depression for about 2 years now, and i remember being a 12 year old kid and thinking how could anyone think or act the ways that i myself am acting sometimes.  it's not something that you can simply put off, or "start thinking positive" to make it go away.  i've been on and off of medication for it because i myself do want to be able to control my depression without medication.  it's something i'm very ashamed of and it took me about a year to even admit to anyone close to me that i was feeling the way i was.  i've attempted Self Delete, and i can't tell you how scary it is to know that your brain can rationalize that the only way to fix your life is to end it.  depression doesn't have to have a cause by the way.  it's a mental illness, you don't have to have a reason to be bipolar do you?  but it's seen in a different light for some odd reason.  you can have a perfectly fine life and be depressed.

I have (self-diagnosed) depression.

Everything you have to say on this issue is now completly irrelevant.
You are the problem

Id call it natural selection.

Long time sufferer of (professionally diagnosed) depression here. Self Delete is the result of highly abnormal thought processes caused by depression. That is just simply a fact, people with healthy positive mindsets will not experience these thoughts. No, it doesn't make suicidal people wrong or sub-human or whatever dogmatic social bullstuff you try and align it with.

It's not about being sad or 'angsty' or whatever, many different things can cause people to become suicidal whether it be immense stress, fear, or the unwillingness to continue. It is a deadly repercussion of an untreated illness, not 'angsty teenagers'.

Everything you have to say on this issue is now completly irrelevant.
You are the problem
I understand that yes, self-diagnosing can sound like complete bullstuff, but given every description I've seen of depression, I'd say I have a really, really good chance of actually having it.
And even if my entire rant is irrelevant, that doesn't save you from the fact that you're being an starfish because you take Self Delete for granted.

Id call it natural selection.
Self Delete as a result of depression is not natural selection.
Natural selection is when an unfit organism dies because it is unfit, therefore removing the unfit gene(s) from the species's gene pool. Depression is not a genetic trait.

Re: Why do people commit Self Delete?

Life is painful. Some people would rather journey beyond than suffer.

Self Delete is entirely justifiable, it is however cruel to abandon your loved ones.

I have been depressed for the majority of my life, and had it not been for the love and respect of/for my loved ones I'd probably have killed myself or would do it today. Life has many great joys but sometimes brain chemistry and circumstance makes it quite easy to overlook the good. When you overlook the good in life it becomes indescribably easy to understand the fault in human existence to a point where one may justify the the taking of his/her/Jenner's own life.

In quite clear honesty, I have little to no desire to live. Everyone who lives will die, and everyone who lives will one day be insignificant to future life and death. Some people accept that the world is not ours for pleasure, but ours for observation. Some people care not to observe in suffering, at which point they may make the decision to give up.

The only shame in Self Delete is abandonment. A human has the right to life and death.

May heaven bless all the people who took their own lives with false expectation of continued insufferable suffering when that truly wasn't the case. I hope they have all become angels of the universal dimensions beyond our capability to fathom with our feeble human minds.

if anybody here is considering Self Delete and aren't just being emo stuffs, please watch the following video:

so just because we share a less viewed opinion on this we're automatically edgy.

Aw yes, the ol " but mine is worse therefore it dosnt count" debate

Like I said before, when people have issues with depression or anxiety they tend to think the world revolves around them, hence the whole "The world doesn't understand my pain" spiel

I think it's a stress thing

Hey bro, havent seen much of yu in BL god we had some good times! But yea depression doesnt only affect the mind it affects the senses too. The constant negativity just attracts more negativity and it all builds up on the inside til it spills (Self Delete).

so just because we share a less viewed opinion on this we're automatically edgy.
