Author Topic: Why do people commit Self Delete?  (Read 16636 times)

i dont give a stuff if people fake it or not. i wont acknowledge it regardless.
its a personal problem brought on by themselves, and like every other disability, they  end up sharing the burden with others. people without self responsibility deserve no help.
So what if it was your mother who had depression, would you help her?

damn turn that heat lamp the forget on lol

Obviously.

So what if it was your mother who had depression, would you help her?
keep in mind Bisjac thinks love is a false emotion and all compassion is self-serving- the answer you're going to get is no.

Self Delete is stupid, im not making fun of people who did it it's just stupid
because its "a permanent solution to a temporary problem"
what if the person is suffering from a terminal illness and decides to end his/her own life to avoid pain/shame/mental breakdown? that seems like a pretty damn permenant solution.

what if the person is suffering from a terminal illness and decides to end his/her own life to avoid pain/shame/mental breakdown?
That is clearly not what anyone is talking about.

That is clearly not what anyone is talking about.
hey, just showing a case where it may be acceptable.

Why do you prioritise life over everything else? It's completely up to the person making the decision, stable or not.
You see, this is where you're wrong. Mentally unstable people are not capable of making correct decisions because their illness removes their ability to reason. Why would you permit someone to do something wrong, knowing that they cannot reason correctly? In my opinion, that is cruel.

As to why I prioritise life? Because it's the only thing we know. As far as we're aware, once we die we no longer exist.

bisjac may be like 25 or whatever but holy christ is he one of the most ignorant people i have ever come across.

yes i know I said to ignore him pages ago so dont even mention it

i feel like bisjac is just only saying this because he doesn't care about the well-being of others. fair enough, I don't either, unless they are close to me.

but when you're spewing ignorant bullstuff purposefully just to be an ass, ESPECIALLY on a sensitive topic like Self Delete, it's where you draw the line. I genuinely feel bad for people who take the Self Delete route, but i wish that they would have found a better solution.

But here's the thing people like bisjac and refticus don't understand, people who commit Self Delete think that it IS the best solution. Depression is an actual disorder and it's essentially terminal sadness. It completely messes with their ability to reason with what life gives them and to overcome.

And that "just because it's mean doesn't make it wrong" attitude that you have, bisjac. Sorry to tell you, but, you're wrong

Not existing is the everything else I was talking about. A lot of mentally unstable people can still reason, their ability is only hindered by their illness. Where do you draw the line? Only people with high levels of reasoning can be "right" to Self Delete?

In the end, reasoning doesn't come into it much. It's about where you are, where you want to be and if you feel like you can go the distance or not.

This brings me to the point I've made all along. Self Delete isn't for you to judge as "right" or "wrong", it's a choice made by an individual about their own life. You can't tell them with any authority if it's right or wrong to get out of bed in the morning, the same way you can't tell them with any authority if it's right to keep on living or if it's right that they should hurry up and die. You haven't lived their life.

...Not really though? He's trying to say Bisjac is wrong with how he feels. That's not how being right or wrong work.
