will get real thermal paste asap though
You should be banned from pc gaming.
I bet you followed this guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnyoJtv9Cx0
Let me assure you Toothpaste is not thermal paste, and you should not wash your motherboard.

I bet you have your computer on the floor, that's a terrible place to put it every one know to keep it on top on a desk somewhere where it can get air.

Also guys DO NOT USE SPEEDFAN, it is very inaccurate software, if you do something wrong speedfan can override your Motherboard's preset cooling and if done wrong can leave your fans spinning at very low rpms and make your computer an oven or a time bomb.

If you need software for monitoring please use HWinfo, or MSI Afterburner, hell even cpuz or gpuz will help.

Which is why you only touch settings if you know what you're doing...

I have my PC in a PC bay in my desk

why is Fahrenheit even used anymore

they should convert to Celsius
I use metric for everything except temperature because °C don't make sense to me
In Fahrenheit, 0 is cold and 100 is hot and the size of a degree is sensible and it's intuitive
In Celsius, 0 is colder than stuff and 100 is loving boiling and the degrees are just too big to be useful. And for science you should be using Kelvin you stuff

Setro needs to be banned from loving computers forever

setro should bring it to geeksquad, i heard they're super pros

setro should bring it to geeksquad, i heard they're super pros
At least geeksquad knows to plug the PSU up fully and they know to not pull the heatsink off

Just to clarify, I made a mix using 75% toothpaste and 25% vaseline, and put it inside a syringe.
I then put a dot of it on the CPU after cleaning off the old paste using rubbing alcohol, with a lint-free rag.
After that, I used both the rag and the heatsink bottom to spread it out evenly.
I see no issues, and this is just until I can get actual thermal paste.
Locking because everyone is going to yell at me like I'm a loving MIT guy who is 25 years old.
