Author Topic: Craftsman/Traditional Style Home - Complete!  (Read 7813 times)

Many have dubbed this house the "Fancy House". It's a simple 3 bed, 1 1/2 bath house. The 2-car detached garage has a small room contained in the roof of the small structure with its own deck outside the entrance. A path connects the street and garage to the front porch of the house. The back yard has a patio with a large oak tree in the center. A path connects the back doors to the small pool on the side of the house. A mere 6,118 bricks went into this build and I am personally very proud of how the house turned out. The yard, not so much. If anyone would like to remake the yard, I'd be happy to compile the save and all necessary add-ons to load the build. At this point, I will be adding more details such as fences, more landscaping unless someone does the yard for me, and a detailed interior.

That's one fancy house you have there. Consider using wedges to smooth out the curves.
Any interior shots?

Damn, that garage area is incredibly interesting.  Makes me think of a boat for some reason, lol.

I was thinking of wedges, but then that messes up the shingles. That, and when you look at my actual deck its the same way. I think I might use that new rope add-on to make the railing but if I used wedges for that it'd be way too wide. The interior shots are coming, I want to add some furnishings first.

Every time someone sees our house they think its a boat so I can't blame you at all haha.

Looks great, maybe consider taking screenshots with megashot to get rid of that aliasing.

Thanks, and I'll give it a shot.. When I insert the console command, I get a syntax and an evaluation error.

Id say make the roof black or just a different color than brown, but very nice house

Black:

Dark Grey:

Navy Blue:

ocrap i thought we were voting on the wall colors because i didnt read and accidentally voted blue

very nice, i like the way the pathway winds like that

Go for dark grey, that makes it look a stuffton better.

Haha great job. The exterior shingles are going to remain brown. The interior is set up so a fill can will paint all of that room (painting a neighboring room the same color will mess that up, obviously).
Thanks, the pathway and the yard around/inside it took the longest of anything because I had to figure out where to start/stop the curving parts, where to stop the stairs, how many stairs, how to get the grass to curve upwards, how big and how long the retaining wall inside the 180° path curve, etc...

I was thinking the same thing.
