I'm going to get it but I want a review from the forums. I've looked at videos of gameplay.

There's very little game to it. It's a physics sandbox like garry's mod, but somewhere in the development process they forgot to add the fun. I wouldn't buy it yet, wait for multiplayer to get added at least.

it does not run too well on budget gaming PCs

Does the modifications make it fun?

IIRC the devs stated multiplayer would be "impossible" After a quick search, they are going to add multiplayer but not until the core gameplay/engine is completed, AKA not for quite some time.

It's nice if you like realistic driving games, other than that there's not much. It's one of those games where you have to make it fun for yourself. There's scenarios that you can do right now, but they're mostly races and get from point A to point B.

The modding community is... decent. You have some pretty cool stuff coming out of the community(IIRC someone made a mod for a plane, it was awesome) but I haven't seen much out of it in a while.

Performance wise, it doesn't run that well. as Block said, doesn't run well on budget PCs.

TBH I find it fun even if it's extremely basic at this point. I'd wait a while to buy, however, as there isn't much to do and it kinda gets lonely considering how big the maps are.

If you think you can make your own fun out of them, yes.
You'd probably be better off buying a real driving game than this physics simulator. Next Car Game (or whatever they renamed it, Wreckfest I think?) has great physics and is actually fun, I'm told.

The game is pretty intensive, mostly due to the softbody damage physics and because its still in development. A budget gaming build will probably struggle.

it's a good tech demo
but it's lacking gameplay

don't get it unless you reeeeeeeeeallly like cars

I love it WAYYYY too much!
I love to crash cars, a perfect game for me if physics start to hate me in Blockland!
You can be creative on how you crash cars!

its good for the first hour or two
"haha this was a nice crash xd"
but then it just gets repetitive and boring.

pretty much all this

The cars have horrid handling, there isn't much to do and it's hard on a budget pc.

Sorry the game is too realistic for you to handle (eheheheheh get it). Most driving games should be used with either a gamepad or with a wheel.
