i logged onto my computer today, and saw that the battery meter had a red x on it and said that i needed to replace my battery. do they even sell batteries for windows 7 laptops anymore? where can i find one, and will it clear your items?

You'll find a number of results from different shops and ebay/amazon if you google it.

Just check that your battery (remove it from the laptop when you can) matches the same capactiy, voltage and dimensions.
