A new government has been founded in the Estate of Allah. Among the five positions needed to lead our meritocratic system, only two are filled: Grand Khalifa (Karen) and Grand Emir (Khalid ibn al-Walid). We must designate distinguished elite to rule as our Grand Ayatollah (science), Grand Sharif (infrastructure), and Grand Sayyid (economics). We are still a nation of religious thinkers, so our science chief will also be our main priest. However, one person may not occupy more than one position. Karen is considered both the Grand Khalifa and the main priest of Islanime, so another cleric will need to be given her title.
A mysterious floating raft made of wood sailed past our village today, offering to trade pots and shiny metal trinkets to our people. We do not produce any luxuries or trade in any currency, so the traders left without making a sale.
