Project Zomboid is a superb survival game, but it's isometric instead of first-person and the progression is a little weird. Your character levels skills, but there's no unlocks or anything like that related to levels alone. It's good open world sandbox (especially sandbox mode, a ton of customization in that) but it's community is relatively small.
I dunno, you might like it. I wont claim it's for everyone, it can be pretty frustrating sometimes and you gotta be pretty patient if you're playing the hardest setting.
Prefer a FPS game
Also Payday 2 is basically on a linear release schedule, it's just a bunch of DLC instead of games. And it's just not as good.
Not quite. I don't mind paying installment DLC's, the problem with these linear releases is that when the next game is released, most of the community will hop over to the next stufffest (COD/Fifa etc) Not only does it effect the community and matchmaking speed, it also means that all my friends that I've met/played the game with will most probably move onto the next game, where you'd most of the time have to create a whole new character, just on a game that's slightly different.
With Payday 2, I can play with all the DLCs with a friend who may have only bought a copy with no DLC.
Some people enjoy the linear frequent release games, but I don't.
Black Ops 3 comes out in a few months
o ya sounds gr8
Rust? I mean maybe no progression except what you have, but very sandboxy and open world.
Played it, enjoyed it quite a lot. I'd say ARK is better right now (Played both of them for comparison a couple weeks ago)
If anyone in this thread is thinking of either ARK or Rust, I'd definitely hit up ARK.
