I meant it in the figurative sense, not literally breaking down OP's door. Calling the cops is a highly invasive measure for such a disproportionately petty incident.
No.
What law enforcement would've done at that point is take them to wherever and have their parents pick them up.

If you are hosting a party with 15 people who are all illegally drinking alcohol provided by you in your household the consequences will be slightly more severe than a slap on the wrist.

This is exactly what I was trying to get across from the beginning of the thread. Calling the police does more harm then good

The emergency number is where you call when there is an emergency. It goes without saying at that point that you need the police to come there double-time to stop someone from getting harmed, causing harm, or harming themselves. If you call the cops and they come rushing in only to find a fairly tame party with some under-aged drinking, you're going to be the ass in the situation.

i remember i called the police on my mother using 911, nothing was not to serious, only that she was swearing outside.

all that came was two cops in a easy going attitude. they told us to call 911 if there is any situation of possible harm. im not saying i should've called the police on my sister, just that 911 can be used for any situation of danger

Well yes, because you sounded like, and the dispatch could clearly tell you were a clueless kid, but they have to send out a squad car to make sure anyways. If you tell them about some party and drinking then, like their job obligates them to, they prepare for worst case scenario.

1. That is a stupid reason to call 911
2. They were being chill because you were just a clueless kid
3. 911 should not be called in such stupidly minor situations, not only is it illegal to waste their time with pointless calls but using the emergency number when not in an emergency can and has resulted in people dying.
When you request emergency assistance when you don't need it, you can be keeping them from an actual emergency.

But then again since it is you saying this it probably never happened anyway.

Which would make you think that maybe drinking irresponsibly and illegally is perhaps not a good idea.

You should probably get the non-emergency number for your town's police department, if you don't have it already, of course.

And use it when this crap happens--

Actually, no, that's kinda sneaky as it goes around your parents.  I would probably just tell your parents that it happened again (evidence if needed), and have them take care of it.  If they don't then call the non-emergency number for the police and have them take care of it next time.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.

I'm not really sure how this is relevant to what I said, but you're right. I don't support teenage drinking.
what
Well since I just said that I agreed with Rally prehaps you should read his posts instead of making me repeat them. But to summarize, teens drinking a couple beers at a party isn't a valid reason to call the police, and it's not worth it to forget up their records permanently. Damp should tell his parents if he believes she really has a drinking problem. That will solve it without ruining her life.

But it's not entirely important, as it is most likely all made up anyway.
