I'm gonna turn 16 in a year, and want to do some research on cars so I can fix them if they break down and stuff.
What car should I buy as my first car?

It varies on budget, what's available, what you are willing to put into repairs on a used vehicle, etc.

Any car is a good first car as long it's not a cheap piece of stuff. Look for something in the 4-7 thousand dollar range that is between the years 03-08.

get a honda hatchback, lower it 1 inch from the ground, do a sick bright paintjob, put neons, custom rims, and a large spoiler, and you're set for school B^).

imo parts for cars made in another country usually cost more than parts for an american made car
