The planet does have atmosphere, however it's only made possible by the oxygen generators(destroyed during the landing by aliens). There still enough to roam around for a bit, however chances are you will probably pass out from the lack of air in a thinning atmosphere. Plus the suits come with a small cooling unit.
Whatever is left from Squad 1/2s encounter has now been wiped out or has fled from the fight. The skirmish at the outpost has become more audible as they approach.
Meanwhile hardians drone buzzes to location.
[SSG. Misha]: Would you look at that, lieutenant.
[SSG. Batsaikhan]: Looks like that fight was just was warm up. Not a single spot on thermal where you can't see a white roach blip. Why they would want this barren place is beyond me.
Chances are is that there are more of them beyond that wall of flesh.
[MAJ. Owens]: Mortars are set up are reading to hit targets in your sector. You have enough for two salvos. Squad leaders as long as you have visibility or a drone on target you should be clear to call out hexes for fire mission.
[SSG. Misha]: C10 Marked.
[SSG. Batsaikhan]: E-10 Marked.
[SSG. Moore]: Copy command, no targets.
[SSG. Boyd]: Copy command, no targets to report as well.
[MAJ. Owens]: Platoon 3 do you copy?
[SSG. Morgan]:
(gun fire) Copy, HQ. The Lieutenant wounded right now. I'm the acting leader until we can be relieved.
[MAJ. Owens]: Understood Master Sargent. I'm authorizing your platoon mortar support. Make them count.
[SSG. Morgan]: *small sigh of relief* Finally. Marking S6, one less ambush to worry about.
[SSG. Cortez]: Copy command, O5 marked.
[SSG. Morgan]: Targets marked, send it when you can.
[MAJ. Owens]: Copy.
[Artilleryman]: Salvo on the way!
[MAJ. Owens]: Alright Platoon two, your turn. Your targets are already marked. Give us the go ahead once you are ready to call in Lieutenant.
